JEWELL ROBBERY ( Screen Shot #1 )

I revisited “JEWEL ROBBERY” (1932) a delightful sophisticated comedy that turns out to be the most “Lubistchsian” film outside of…Lubitsch. William Dieterle directs wonderfully the excellent team of Kay Francis and William Powell, two actors who have a tremendous chemistry going on in this risqué Pre-Code fluff about the wife of an older millionaire banker who loves jewels and an extremely suave, elegant and bon vivant jewel thief.

JEWEL ROBBERY ( III )  JEWEL ROBBERY ( IV )

Delightful and sexy from start to finish. Made at Warners, but more a Paramount sophisticated comedy at heart. 😉
