 WONDERFUL ( III )

Watched an amiable and pleasant RKO Radio comedy directed by Alfred Santell starring Ginger Rogers ( at the peak of her beauty and charm ) and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. titled Having A Wonderful Time ( 1938 ) in which they play two people who meet and fall in love in a vacation camp. She’s a stenographer and he a Law graduate who has to work as a waiter, due to his lack of connections. They have a lot of chemistry and look and work well together. The supporting cast is wonderful, with Lucille Ball, Eve Arden, Donald Meek, Lee Bowman, Red Skelton, Jack Carson, Leona Roberts et al. At 69 minutes it is a funny, charming and unpretentious comedy, which is even more enjoyable than some better-known films of its day. Recommended. You’ll get quite a few laughs.

WONDERFUL ( II )
