Today is NATIONAL CLASSIC MOVIE DAY. What we are tasked to do byClassic Film & TV Caféis to list one favorite film from each decade from the 1920s – 1970s or from the 1930s -1980s.
I love the sweet torture of making lists. On the one hand, if some films don’t make the cut, I’m like… “Oh well.” Then on the other hand, if some films don’t make the cut I feel: “Am I really living withOUT this film?”
But the blood…and the sweat…and the tears…are all for a good cause…sharing my favorites with you and wholeheartedly recommending some pretty good films.
Gather around the soda fountain, folks. Movies Silently is having a Classic Movie Ice Cream Social, where: “All you need to do is review a movie that has a sunny plot or has the power to cheer you up when you’re feeling down.” Well, never has a movie come more immediately to mind than my contribution to this blogathon…
Today is National Classic Movie Day. Hurrah! But honestly, I don’t need a particular day to celebrate classic films. I watch ‘em all the time. But this day is a swell chance to join other classic film fans in that age old question: “…write about the five classic movies you’d want to have with you if stranded on a deserted island. (Yes, you can assume you have electricity, a projector, big screen, and popcorn!)” though I prefer Raisinets.
