“His Girl Friday” Roz was sublime. Fast talking, smart, we see her struggle between wanting what every woman wants ( home & marriage with Ralph Bellamy ) and keeping her exciting career as a ‘newspaperman’ with her ex-husband Cary Grant pulling all the strings. She could handle the comedy and the drama here. Roz walks a tightrope between two worlds and I don’t see any other actress of the 40’s with the energy to pull off this movie. Roz is razor sharp in this one. She should have walked away with that Oscar in 1940.
