THE FREE FOR ALL BLOGATHON

In the world of classic film blogathons, there are sooooo many themes and topics covered.

It’s pretty tough to come up with something unique that bloggers might WANT to join. They’re a pretty busy lot maintaining their own blogs. So I came up with this idea that I think would appeal to many. It did.

Bloggers were invited to write about ANYthing their little hearts desired for this one day event. I am happy and grateful for their contributions. I’ve even made some fancy schmancy banners to highlight their work. It’s still pretty nippy in certain parts of the country. So if you’re staying inside to be warm and cozy…cuddle up to these blogs below.

THANKS SO MUCH, BLOGGERS!!

SILVER SCREENINGS has written about THE HITCH~HIKER which might serve well as a companion piece in her guest essay over at CineSuffragettes.

Again, I want to thank all the bloggers who participated in my blogathon. I hope you have time to read all the entries submitted, make comments on their blogs…and share this directory with your own readers. I’ll be traveling to California for TCM’s annual film festival in April. I’ll be carrying all your posts with me and reading them as I cross the country. This will make the hours fly by like minutes. Thank you for that, too!

    • Robert Ryan is fearless. He’s not afraid to be a down and out boxer or a sadistic detective or a racist military man or a guy who married the girl next door but’s got to go to war. He is infinitely watchable. Looking forward to reading your entry. Thanks for submitting it to my blogathon. Check out the full directory on Sunday.

    • Paddy, I haven’t seen “HANGOVER SQUARE” in years. I look forward to reading about it. I feel bad for Laird Cregar. Seems like he was on his way. As for Linda Darnell…what a dish. Thank you again for contributing to one of my bloggathonny efforts. I appreciate the support. Check back here late Sunday if you have time. I’ll have a nice colorful directory uploaded. Thanks again!

  3. Pingback: For the Free For All Blogathon: Edward G. Robinson in a Non-Gangster Role | portraitsbyjenni

    • Thank you for this Jenni. This is such a sweet, poignant movie. Frances Gifford is the draw for me. But there’s no doubt, this film shows the versatility of Edward G. Robinson. Who’d have thunk he’d be a farmer. He’s married to Agnes Moorehead in the movie, and Moorehead was considered for what became the Eddie G. role in The Stranger.” Interesting tidbit.

I look forward to reading your post Jenni. Thank you for tending the grapes of my blogathon. ( Aw hell, what does that even mean?!! Ha! ) Hope you like my banner. Gonna work on a personalized banner for everyone. Thanks again!
