CLASSIC SYMBIOTIC COLLABORATIONS: The Star-Director Blogathon

BREAK OUT THE BUBBLY…or Bourbon or Glühwein or Sarsparilla even. Whatever gets you through the night. I am hosting my FIRST–EVER blogathon, and I’m drunk with happiness.

Here is the “CLASSIC SYMBIOTIC COLLABORATIONS: The Star -Director Blogathon” making its debut this cold winter’s day, with  a warm and overwhelming response from the blogging community. I sincerely want to thank all of you who took the time and decided to help me launch my inaugural event with your posts. The Star – Director collaboration is the backbone of film-making. Most times it’s the studios that bring these two entities together. But I like to think that trust, mutual admiration and respect  help make these pairings a fruitful one, and one that is remembered and treasured. Everyone has their favorite teams whose works resonate with them.  

This two-day event has writers covering either:

• an overview of the collaborative efforts of a Star and Director or
• specific films from one of the great classic collaborative teams
