CLASSIC FILM REMINDERS ( 2015 )

I don’t know how crazy I am. Guess you’ll be the judge of that.

When I walk around in my travels, I tend to notice things that remind me of classic films. My first immediate Rorschach reaction is a classic film. Here are a couple of examples of that association. Do they make you think of any particular movie? If you’re curious as to what I thought just click on any of the photos. And tell me if YOU see anything in your travels that remind you of classic films. I’d like to know.

Think I’ll make this my last official post of 2015 … the end of my first year of blogging. If you’ve purposely stopped by my blog or stumbled across it in your treks across the internet, I hope you found my essays from the couch easy to navigate, informative and most of all FUN!!!! It’s been time-consuming ( trust me…it’s easier and quicker for you to read this, than for me to craft it. ) It’s been a challenge to meet my own self-imposed deadlines and to learn to write more succinctly. Blogs may not be the right place but my hope is to have a conversation about classic films. After you nurse that New Year’s Day hangover, stop by The Couch and see what I have in store for 2016. Thanx for reading.

  1. You be special. I thank you for being a true diplomat of classic cinema. I’ll definitely be around. Remember me from the TCM Festival in Hollywood from just a few years back.
    I easily remember you, special.

  2. Guilty! Still doing the cinema gig as much as the mind and body allows. TCM continues to be a “reel” blessing in the era of “Autuum Leaves” and “September Song”. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
    To be continued.

  3. Congratulations on the first year of blogging – I love reading your posts so consider it time very well spent.
I’m not sure that I see things that I relate back to classic movies, but I often find myself quoting favourite lines of dialogue, only to be met by blank stares. The lonely life of a classic movie fan! 😉

    • HI LINDSEY!!!

Thank you for nominating me for the prestigious Liebster Award. I don’t honestly know when I’ll be able to reply, but to be thought of is quite flattering. And I’m so happy you’ve been enjoying my blog. It’s been a blast…time consuming and quietly rewarding. Thanks. Cannot WAIT to see your post for Wyler and Hepburn’s collaboration for my upcoming blogathon. Thank you for joining that too. Have a healthy and happy new year! 🙂

      • You’re welcome, it’s well deserved!

I just finished drafting my Wyler/Hepburn post earlier this week. 🙂 Very excited to share it and read everyone else’s contributions. Happy new year to you as well!

      • Great. Looking forward to reading it, and hoping you and the other contributing bloggers will enjoy my little “promotional” campaign that’ll lead up to the day of my blogathon. I have a nice little presentation I am in the midst of preparing for you all. Thanks Lindsey.
